Jennifer Kennedy Elson, M.S.
Jennifer Kennedy Elson received her M.S. in Instructional Systems at Florida State University where she was a student of Walter Dick and Roger Kaufman. After completing internships at Arthur Andersen and Los Alamos National Laboratory, Jennifer joined first Motorola University and then Motorola Semiconductor Product Sector Training, where she served as an instructional designer. She has also worked as a systems consultant for Los Alamos National Laboratory, implementing a major enterprise software system in multiple functions. Jennifer has authored and implemented complex competency-based projects for a variety of functions, including operators and technicians, leadership, occupational health, human resources functions, computing and engineering, and was a major contributor to Motorola SPS’s development of the competency-based methodology. She co-authored two chapters of Dubois’ Competency Casebook (HRD Press, 1998), including “Technician Training at Motorola Semiconductor “ and “Developing a New Model of Leadership at Motorola Semiconductor.” She co-authored a chapter of In Action: Improving Performance in Organizations, American Society for Training and Development. She is currently a certified DDI instructor and a principal consultant for The Learning Consortium, Inc.
